While exploring my storage recently, I discovered some old denim whose rugged patches inspired this Denim Patch Mug. As I work with clay in my studio, I carefully create this unique handmade ceramic piece. First, I shape the mug body to resemble denim patches, then add tiny clay stitches across the surface. This special handmade ceramic mug captures the warmth of well-worn denim in every detail.
As the handmade ceramic piece develops, I enhance its character. The patch textures become more defined while the stitch marks create delicate patterns.
